At just 23 years old Margot Robbie has already managed to take Hollywood by storm.
Dubbed by film and fashion critics alike as ‘one to watch,’ Robbie is quite literally on the brink of international stardom.
In just one year the Aussie beauty has gone from fresh faced teenager Donna Freeman on long running TV soap Neighbours, to starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the new Hollywood blockbuster The Wolf of Wall Street, which premieres in Australia this week.
Robbie holds her own alongside DiCaprio, at times even stealing the limelight from the legendary Hollywood veteran, and her American accent is so polished it is hard to believe Robbie is fresh out of Ramsey Street.
The Wolf of Wall Street star is equally impressing both film and fashion crowds alike with her off-screen role as unofficial up and coming ‘It Girl’ and fashionista amongst the ‘who’s who’ of young Hollywood actresses.
Fashion critics have praised Robbie’s every move since her first step on Hollywood’s red carpet, and she is yet to put a fashion foot wrong. Donning the likes of big name designers such as Gucci, Elie Saab and Oscar De La Renta at recent red carpet events.
It’s hard to believe that The Wolf of Wall Street is only her second big Hollywood film. The first she stared in romantic comedy, ‘About Time,’ with Rachel McAdams. But despite being new to the Hollywood scene, the stunning actress is quickly becoming one of the most recognised names in the business and has been buzzed about a lot lately, for her high-profile roles, her personal life and her impeccable style.
And Leo’s leading lady isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Her next film will see her star alongside Will Smith in the drama ‘Focus,’ which is undoubtedly set to be another huge hit. She has also signed on to play the female lead in the post-apocalyptic film ‘Z for Zachariah’ alongside Chris Pine as well as starring as Jane in David Yates ‘Tarzan.’
The hype surrounding the young stars’ promising future will surely be hard to live up to. But there is something special about Margot Robbie – that element of alluring star quality, that provides conviction to her fans that she is well and truly on her way to cementing her place in Hollywood.
