They became instant BFFs when the audition process of Australia’s Got Talent kicked off late last year.
And Kelly Osbourne revealed the reason why she believes she has developed such a strong connection with fellow judge Sophie Monk as she joked: ‘Her and I may wear pretty dresses and have all the eyelashes, but we’re bogans’.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia at the David Jones Autumn/Winter fashion launch in Sydney on Wednesday evening, the American star added: ‘It’s so nice to work with a woman who is not competitive, we just have so much fun. You have no idea.
Kelly admitted she had not always been as fond of the Australian star as she revealed: ‘I had seen her about in LA, but because she was so pretty I was too scared to talk to her.’
But then from the first day, it was just instant. I get on and hang out with all the judges, we were all together on Sunday.
The purple-haired star gushed: ‘I’m so lucky to work not only here in this country but with the people I work with too.’
And Kelly made it clear that she has been thoroughly enjoying her time Down Under as she said: ‘Australia’s Got Talent had been amazing. To have the balls to get up there in front of the judges is a talent in itself. I have been blown away by the talent in this country and I’m so honoured to be a part of it.’
Kelly appeared to be making a fashion statement on the night as she teamed her metallic Rebecca Vallance dress with her father Ozzy Osbourne’s black dinner jacket and a black cane.
But the 31-year-old revealed the cane was actually helping walk due to her recent foot injury as she told DMA: ‘I have a broken foot. I have five fractures in the foot.
‘I would be wearing heels during the auditions period of Australia’s Got Talent and thinking I’m in so much pain. It took me hurting my cuboid for them to send me to a specialist who said,”Oh you have five fractures as well”.’
She stressed: ‘I haven’t got this because I think I’m a pimp. It’s because I literally can’t walk without it.’
The fashion designer and singer completed her look with a quirky badge featuring a cartoon version of herself.
Kelly – who is the daughter of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne – flaunted her curves in the frock that went down to her calves.
In keeping with her lilac hair, Kelly wore the same colour pointed heels while her pin featured a face with the same colour locks as her.
She showed off her porcelain complexion with dewy foundation and finished off her make-up with a smokey eye and a pink lip.
Her hair – which she has shaved on the sides with a mohawk in the middle -was styled into a bob.
The British-born star was seen sitting inside the venue in the front row, ready to take in the fashion show.
At the launch, Kelly watched the likes of David Jones ambassadors Montana Cox, Jesinta Campbell, Jessica Gomes and Jason Dundas strut their stuff down the catwalk.
